Betty Ford recalls she heard that he was lying on a blanket under a tree while his parents worked in the fields.  He rolled into the sun, and had sunstroke, which caused him to be retarded.  She remembers helping him roll cigarettes with a machine he had, while on a visit with her parents in 1940.

Virgil's exact dates of  birth, or death (b.1899, d.1900) are not known at this time.  Olan says Virgil died at 18 months of age.  That's all the information I have at this time.
